Why We Should All Have Some Skateboard Clothing
Skateboard clothing has been on the fashion scene for a while now. However it was not originally created to satisfy needs of fashion in fact it serves a far more practical use. The type and style of clothing was born from the need for comfort as well as protection whilst skateboarding.
Nowadays many people wear clothing from skate brands like Etnies and surf brands such as Billabong. Certain items such as the shoes are heavily influenced by the sport whilst other clothing items may appear to be not much different from mainstream fashion. As you will all be aware skate shoes have become well worn due to additional padding making them very comfortable. The padding was however mainly used to provide the skater with more protection and a longer lasting shoe.
Not only this but skateboarding has now got its own unique style. This doesn't necessarily mean wearing a particular brand of clothing but refers more to an overall style. Most notable of the skateboard fashion is wearing baggy clothing. Whilst this has become a style of it's own it also aims to add ease of movement to a riders style.
You will find a multitude of clothing items available for aspiring skateboarders and those who just like the style. With the spread in popularity it is not only men who are buying skateboard clothing but also kids and women as well.
As mentioned previously while skateboard clothing may have its roots in practicality we must accept that this type of clothing has become a fashion trend all of its own. Even for those that don't skate you will be able to find some unique and custom styles that can look great whatever you're into.
Am i too old to wear these shorts?
Im 29 and am just getting into fashion. what can i say but my parents were prudish and instilled an old fashioned sense of style in me. by old fashioned, i meant Amish. im just now awakening and becoming more independent. is it too late for me to wear the fashions? if so, then its funny because when i was younger, people remarked that i dressed too old for my age. at 16, i wore those old lady dresses with the shoulder pads because my mom bought them for me. now i probably dress too young wearing Forever 21 clothes. i feel like i missed out on life, like i wasted my youth. i feel somewhat like Sleeping Beauty,that i was asleep for 10 years from age 20 to 30. now i probably cant even wear colorful eye makeup anymore too... -_-

but anyway, are those clothes too old for me? which one above is better to wear at an ice skating rink?

you look fine. It sucks that your parents took away your fashion freedom but dont let that stop you! the shorts look good and ive seen like 50year olds wear some young fashion and look okay haha it jus depends on how you wear it
