A Bike Every Kid Would Enjoy !
In a week, it will be the birthday of my kid. Me and my wife were thinking what to give him as a gift. My son would be seven years old. It was an important age thus we wanted something nice for him. For his six years old, we bought him some very interesting puzzles. This kid is very intelligent and likes doing puzzles a lot. Thus he did receive a nice 4-boxes set. All those puzzles were good looking ones.
My kid and us finished those puzzles in family. Then we put them in our sons room. Since then, we had no idea so far what to offer him. Let's take some vacation: a family day at the beach ! It would be very funny ! But it will only last for a single day and we wanted to offer him more.
After thinking about all those things, we started our shopping day. First at a kids store: too many toys to look after. Electronics stuff, books and a lot lot more were all around. Even an interesting bike: the razor mini pocket rocket. What a great gift for our kid ! We went on searching the latest puzzles. We then thought it would be the same gift than last year.
Back home, we then searched for some online toys stores. There were lots of choices on various web sites. Prices were good. Besides the delivery time was less than a week. We started thinking about others options. We went to a local park and saw lots of kids playing around. It seems skates were popular those days though we found them to be a bit dangerous.
Back home, we were looking at some pictures of our son. How tall was he. He was growing up fast and for sure we will offer him a great birthday. We looked back at the friends list. Over 20 others kids were invited. We had to make sure to have enough cakes, beverages and fun stuff to do. Later this evening, we chose the gift for our kid. It was a great choice and we are sure he would be delighted with. As to tell what it is: well it is a secret !
I am 17 years old and would love to figure skate. Am i too late to start?
I have completed skate UK levels 1-10, skate UK star bronze in skating and skate UK star bronze silver and gold in ice dance. Im going to uni in leicester in october (hopefully) but would really love to carry on skating..
Any suggestions?
There are lots of students at my ice rink from the local uni- in the U.K
Many students choose the university because of the ice rink!
and that includes foreign students too.
Depending on your campus location, Nottingham ice rink might be the closest?
You should be able to fit skating around your uni timetable.
Contact the ice rink and inquire about lessons, prices etc. You should have the
luxury of skating at a quieter time of day when children are at school.
Plus there might also be evening classes and clubs for adults.
You have a head start over other adult skaters as you have already done the
skate uk programe.
You can start skating any age and carry on till you are 75 with a PhD !!
