You want the skates to fit snug around your feet without pinching anything (especially the toes). Extra room will feel really nice at first but will also let your feet move around in the skates. The skates need to act as part of your feet instead of moving around on them.

The Athena is suitable for people who skate occasionally for regularly for shorter distances. It is a nice skate. The larger wheels on the Alexis skates will roll smoother and easier for people who are getting more into skating.
