Razor PowerWing Caster Scooter Review
I buy razor powerwing caster scooter for my 9-year-old son for Christmas. He loves his straight Razor and rides it a lot, so I thought a change-up would be fun. He does suchlike it, but wishes it were faster. I am a pro-roller skater, so I gave it a try for myself. It is upright down-right tardily. Also, it was smaller in scale than I expected. The front roller is real teeny and making turns practically throws you off equilibrise now and tendency into turns doesn't do anything, it's all virtually steering the cheater revolve. It is basically for somebody sailing and not for qualify, but fun. I'd praise for kids between 5 and 8 years old and kids who are not accustomed to travelling faster Razors or medium skateboarders.
The Razor Powerwing Caster Scooter is Awesome!! It was quick to put together. When my 10year old first got it i wasn't sure he would be able to ride it properly but within minutes he figured it out. He is on this all the time. His 14 gathering old chum loves it too. Other kids who come to play things it's cool and the cousins are all getting them for Christmas now! This toy is a hit and gets them away from the video games!!!Only had it a month but it has seen a lot of use and works seems to be hot attribute.
This toy is better than sliced bread. We have two, and we love the time that our kids spend outside playing with them. Great alternative to the tv. One warning tho'. If you are over 30 don't revert back to childhood. A broken bone and a broken ego are waiting for you.
So much more convenient than a standard scooter but still providing exercise and soooo much fun. I was just online so I can order one for myself so we can enjoy them together! At least 15 people remarked how fun it looked and every kid that came by shouted either "Cool" or "Awesome". As soon as we passed them they had to remark! I bet a bunch of them are going to bug their parents for one as soon as they get home. Well worth the money and we are looking forward to a whole Spring and Summer of fun!
Can artistic roller skates be used for roller derby without injury?
I'm considering joining a junior roller derby league. I just turned 17 last week, and the league only has members 18 years and under.
I'll only be able to be in derby a year, as you must be 21 or older to join the adult team.
I've always been interested in artistic and recreational skating, so I wanted to invest in artistic skates, not derby skates.
I notice that artistic style roller skates were used in roller derby's past, and I'm curious why they're still not used. I've heard the ankle support on artistic skates can break ankles, which honestly makes no sense. It this true, or just some crazy rumor?
Anyway, can I use artistic skates in roller derby for a year without breaking an ankle or causing injury?
You can absolutely use artistic skates for roller derby. The pros: MORE ankle stability. The cons: might not have as much flexibility for the quick agility/hockey type movements involved in roller derby . I have several teammates who crossed over from artistic skating to derby. Some chose to play in artistic skates. You have to do what is best for you. Roller derby is a full contact sport. The potential for injury is always present regardless of your skates. The only requirement for derby is that you're skating on quads and not inline skates. What state do you live in? Junior leagues are hard to find!

The end of an era (cincinnati)
Last year around this time, I wrote a post that I thought was the hardest I'd
ever have to write. I was wrong. This is it. After much thought over the past
year, I have decided to retire from skating after the Cincinnati Rollergirls'
June 18 double-header against the Detroit Derby Girls, our last home [...]
